Book Launch - "Eremophilas - changing gardens for a changing climate"

This book has resulted from the work of three growers who have been growing and trialling eremophilas for well over 30 years. The authors, Norma Boschen, Maree Goods, and Russell Wait have 100 years of growing experience between them and travelled extensively into many parts of Australia with the sole purpose of observing, collecting eremophilas and finding new species. Russell has the largest collection in Australia of eremophilas m cultivation, which has the honour of the Ornamental Conservation Collection for this genus.

The authors have collected further information from other growers to widen the scope and reliability of the text in the book. From all these sources, they believe that this book will be a very useful guide for anyone who wishes to embark on growing eremophilas. In recent times the demand for eremophilas in the garden has increased and this is likely to continue as people realise their horticultural potential. This book is intended to be a useful resource, not only for the everyday gardener, but also for the enthusiastic collector, and the horticultural industry.

The book, Australia’s Eremophilas, changing gardens for a changing climate, will be launched at the 7th FJC Rogers Seminar on the 4th October 2008 in Horsham. It will be between 250 to 280 pages and in full colour. It will be available from leading bookstores, nurseries and from Native Growth Holdings.

For further information or those wishing to forward order the book can phone (03) 5383 2229.
